sixteen

The sixteen years on the streets and Johnny learned the things that he didn’t want to learn and a lot more. Johnny had wanted to learn about the good things in life. The good thing in life for Johnny is his family (the greasers). That’s what he thinks that are the good things in life. He didn’t want to learn about what the other people on the streets are learning about or what they have learned by being on the streets. Instead he learned to steal from other people. They rob gas stations instead of learning something totally new that they haven’t learned yet. That’s what he learned by being out on the streets. The Greasers live on the street and they also live or hang out in an old church. That’s where they escape from the cops. That’s where they stay away from trouble. When ever they do something really wrong that’s a secret place that they know of and they hide. They spend their lives there day in and day out, waiting for it to be safe to come back out.
